Use compact flourrescent light bulbs (CFLs), instead of incandescent lights. CFLs use up 75% less electricity and last up to 13 times longer.
2. Open A Window
When the sun is out, draw those blinds or curtains to let the natural light in. During cool nights and mornings, turn off that air conditioner.

3. Wash Clothes In Bulk
Accumulate dirty clothes for fewer loads on your washing machine. And hang your clothes to dry, rather than using an electric dryer.
4. Unplug Appliances When You Can
TV sets, stereos and video players on standby still consume power. When buying new appliances, pick the most energy-efficient models.
5. Take Care of Your Car
Keep your car engine in shape and your tires properly inflated. Inefficient engines and under-inflated tires would cost you thousands in wasted gasoline.
6. Drive Carefully
