How To Fight Global Warming?

There is one single concern that is threatening the very life existence of the planet earth, and no…not the Aliens as being shown in a Hollywood movie. We humans are part to blame in creating this monster. It is alive and creating havoc to different parts of the world already.
Sea levels are increasing, glaciers are retreating and even polar bears and other rare cold climate species are slowly becoming extinct because of the monster that we created. And this, is no other than - the Global Warming.

Researchers reported that drastic changes in the climatic conditions pose serious threat not only to our future generations but for the current as well. Even the U.S. Department have investigated the possibility of abrupt climate change in which gradual global warming triggers a sudden shift in earth’s climate, causing parts of the world to dramatically heat up or cool down in the span of few years.
Let’s face the fact that humans activities are significantly contributing to the cause of the global warming, but we also have the power to control if not minimize the negative effects of global warming. Here are some tools we can use to fight this monster:
- Choose and Buy Energy-Efficient Appliances. It is sad to know average home contributes global warming than a car. Shopping for energy-efficient models is a bit expensive up front it will save a lot in the electricity bills later on. Learn how to read the Energy Star label, the higher is the energy efficient appliance, the lesser is the cost of running the appliance.
- Cars: Buy an efficient car, drive smart, drive less. Choose the least-polluting, most efficient vehicle that meets your needs. Pay attention to your driving style (no rabbit jumping and abrupt braking, unless necessary) and regularly maintain the engine of your car. Whenever possible, drive less and make use of public transports, walking or riding a bike will reduces pollution caused by the vehicles.
- RRR- Reduce,Reuse,Recycle. Stop dumping waste materials in the ground and start using recyclable products as possible. Buy products that can be reused instead of disposables. If you save garbage at your house, you can save large amount of carbon dioxide annually and be sure to learn the different methods on how to recycle certain products such as plastic (specially PET bottles), glass and aluminum cans, and papers.
The environment is dealing with some of the very serious problems that is affecting all of us. We are fighting a global war that can be stopped if we will do our part
